If you feel that you are overwhelmed with
requests for a huge variety of office products you are not alone. One
of the biggest expenses in our industry is the time it takes a
customer to select the products they need and create an order. If you
create an order try timing yourself to see how long it takes to go
through the catalogs, write down all the stock numbers, make sure you
understand the unit of measure and then place the order. With some
companies if you do not have the exact number you don't get the
product.
Our solution is to create "easy" or "quick" order forms for our
customers. These forms are a one part, customized form with our
client's, name, account number, and other helpful fields as required.
The forms also list the most commonly used items by that customer so
they don't have to look up numbers and units every time they need
basic, everyday office supplies. There is usually a section at the
bottom to add items not listed in the main body of the form.
These forms can quickly and easily be filled out by end users and
faxed to us, or you can leave it on a network server, let users fill
out a copy on their screen, and then e-mail it to us. This saves our
customers $TIME$. These forms also help direct end users to the items
that are priced lowest to the company, reduce returns and the
associated cost of the paperwork involved, saving even more money.
